Linda Louise Blair

Linda Louise Blair, 71, of Bennington, VT, passed away suddenly at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center on September 15, 2023. Linda was the daughter to the late Dorothy Gates and Calvin Bourtell, born in Bennington, VT on March 6, 1952, after her twin brother, Lindan. Linda had two sons, David and Randy. In her early years, she worked at Bennington Day Care as a cook. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping, and keeping in touch with her loved ones with daily phone calls. Linda is survived by her sons, David Blair of Rome, NY and Randy Blair of Bennington, VT; her grandchildren, Tiffany Gaghich, Celine, Shane, Dakota and Dustin Blair, and Gail O'Dell; her siblings, Lindan (Sonny) Bourtell, Darlene Walker and Michael Gates, as well as her great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, David and Bruce, as well as her grandchildren, Randy Jr., Shanna, Kaleb and Harley Blair. Calling Hours for Linda will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Mahar Funeral Home in Bennington, VT at 12:00 p.m. Following the conclusion of the visitation, there will be a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. The burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal, VT, following the funeral service. If friends should desire, contributions in memory of Linda may be made to Mahar Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, Vermont 05201 to help the Family with her funeral expenses.
