Leslie “Chip” Emerson Andrew, lost his long battle to cancer in his home surrounded by his loving family and went to the Lord our savior on Wednesday August 9th. Chip was born on February 12th, 1972 in North Adams , Massachusetts. Chip was predeceased by his parents, Leslie Sr. and Jane Andrew. He graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School and was a very well-known cable service technician in the town of Bennington. Chip was a super fan of the Chicago Bears and enjoyed spending his Sunday’s watching the game with his daughter Olivia, whom to his dismay loves the Green Bay Packers. Chip loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed hiking and camping with family but electricity was always a must for this tech man. Chip had a deep passion for music and enjoyed singing with his two brothers and loving sister in the car on road-trips. Chip had a deep connection with God that he got from his mom Jane, who also always kept her bible near her. Chip would read the Bible scriptures every morning, and went out into the world daily giving of his time, love, faith, humor, and always his zest for life. Chip was even a certified officiant, and officiated the marriage of his niece Catherine to Bradley Hollister in 2020. Chip shared his incredible sense of humor with his daughter Hannah, and it was one of the many things his family cherished about him. Chip’s daughter Izabella was a later in life baby, and a true gift from God, which Chip gave his whole heart to, and all of the free time was spent immersing himself in all her favorite things. Survivors include his loving wife Leslie Ann Andrew of 30 years, and his three beautiful daughters Hannah, Olivia and Izabella. He is lovingly remembered by his overwhelmingly large family. Chip is survived by his three siblings, Tammy (Daren) Schnoop, Robert and Gary Andrew, sister-in-law Laura Andrew, Theresa (Peter) Watson, Bonnie (Scott) Sumner, Karen (James) Butler and brother-in-law Lenny (Linda) Kelley. Chip was a beloved uncle to twenty plus nieces and nephews, as well as multiple great-nieces and nephews that called him “ PePe”. Chip touched the lives of so many people, and his memory will continue on in all those who’s heart he touched. Calling hours for Chip will be from 5pm till 7pm on Wednesday August 16th, 2023 at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont. A funeral service for Chip will be held at 11am on Thursday August 17th, 2023, also at The Mahar and Son Funeral Home. Following the service, there will be a funeral procession to the West Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, Vermont, where the graveside services will be held.
