Lenden C. Haner, 11, a resident of Pine Ridge Drive, Pownal, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
Born in Bennington October 22, 2006, he was the son of Alishia (Haner) Danforth and William Danforth II. Lenden received his education in Pownal and was a member of the 6th grade class at Pownal Elementary School.
Lenden loved playing all sports and played in the Bennington Little League and in both the MAYAA Football and MAYAA Basketball programs. He enjoyed both tubing and kayaking, art and drawing and had just recently received his Vermont Hunting License. Most of all Lenden was an avid fisherman and also could sit through many hours of fishing videos.
He will always be remembered as a someone who had a big heart, loved people, was very outgoing and was always willing to help anyone who needed help.
Survivors include his parents, Alishia and William Danforth of Pownal; his twin-brother, Nathan D. Haner of Pownal, a sister, Nevaeh Calabrese of Windham; two half-brothers, Camden and Emmett Susee of Bennington; his maternal grandparents, Angel Varno and John Dean of Bennington; his paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Sam Burdick of Bennington; his paternal grandparents, William Danforth and Lisa of Pownal; his maternal great-grandmother, Shirley Dolle of Pownal and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
