Laurie S. Griffith,62, a resident of South Stream Road in Bennington died peacefully Tuesday September 20, 2022 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bennington, VT February 6, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Gerald Harrington Sr. and Rita (Betit) Kittel.
Laurie married Bryan Griffith on July 2, 2005.
Laurie worked in customer service at Mack Molding, St. Gobain and Taconic Plastics. She recently started working at a cleaning service, a job she really loved.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 13, the Bennington Eagles Club and the Moose Family Center all in Bennington. Laurie enjoyed boating and hosting gatherings at their camp on Lake Champlain. She especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events. One of her greatest joys was taking care of her mother Rita in the last years of her life.
Survivors include her husband, Bryan Griffith of Bennington. A daughter, Tonya Andrick and her husband Jason of Shaftsbury, VT. Two grandchildren, Carson and Cooper Andrick of Shaftsbury and two step sons, Bryan D. Griffith and Jay T. Griffith both of Pownal, VT. Three brothers, Gerald A. (Linda) Harrington, Christopher (Mary Lou) Harrington of Eagle Bridge, NY and Dale (Ceil) Harrington of Walloomsac, NY. Two brother-in laws, Marshall and Robert Ogert and a sister- in-law Marybeth Bennett. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday September 24, from 11:00 a.m. until noon.
The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday at noon. The burial will follow in the family lot at Rosewood Cemetery in White Creek, NY.
