Laura J. Rafter (Berres)

Laura J. Rafter, 54, a resident of Brookside Apartments in Bennington died unexpectedly at her residence on Wednesday March 17, 2021.

She was born in Carmel, NY March 7, 1967. She was the daughter of the late Robert Berres and Sabrina (Jennings) Fenoff. Laura received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. She later graduated from the Mildred Elly School of Nursing.

In earlier years Laura worked at several doctor' s offices in the Bennington area.

Laura's family was her main interest.

Survivors include her children, Nathan Berres and his wife Laura and Eric-Paul Berres and Kim of Bennington. Eight grandchildren. Two sisters, Mo Greenier of Bennington and Linda (Bert) Morse of Conway, South Carolina. Two brothers, Don (Sue) Willoughby III of Averil Park, NY and Cory (Tammy) Willoughby of Montross, Virginia and a very close life-long friend, Diana Martell. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by two daughters, Mallory Barker and Harley Rafter and her step father Don Willoughby Jr.

Services for Laura will be held at the convenience of the family.
