Kimberly Sue Gross, 60, a resident of Blackberry Lane in Bennington died Monday August 28, 2017 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bennington following a long illness.
She was born in Bennington, VT October 23, 1956. She was the daughter of the late Jackson H. Ostrander and Patricia (Patrie) Ostrander. She received her education in Bennington.
In earlier years Kim trained horses at several farms and race tracks throughout the country. She trained at Calumet Farms in Kentucky and also at the Green Mountain Race Track in Pownal.
She enjoyed the company of family and friends. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.
Survivors include her children, Chad W. Gross of North Adams, MA. and Aubrey L. Kolis of Adams, MA. Four grandchildren, Austin and Aiden Gross of North Adams, MA and Ivan and Payton Kolis of Adams, MA. Two sisters, Cheryl L. Brewer and her husband Erle of Pittsfield, MA and Lisa Jolin of Pownal, VT along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service to celebrate Kim's life will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Friday September 1, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gary Rogers officiating.
The burial will follow in the family lot at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal.
