Born in San Pedro, CA on September 20, 1953, he was the son of the late Forrest Alvin Hopkins Jr. and Gloria (Salo) Hopkins. Kim received his education in the Lakewood, CA schools.
Kim married the former Nancy Ziegler in Simsbury, CT on August 18, 2000. Kim's life centered around his daughter, Maddie and his wife Nancy. He was a very active member of the family at the School of Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales in Bennington.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hopkins and a daughter, Madison "Maddie" Hopkins, both of Bennington.
The funeral will be held from Sacred Heart St. Francis de Sales Church on Monday, August 1, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered by Rev. Robert Wiseman, c.s.c., Pastor.
Private committal services will take place at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions in Kim Hopkin's memory may be made to Nancy Hopkins for the support of their daughter Madison through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
