KENNETH LINIHAN, JR. OBITUARY
SPRINGFIELD, VERMONT
Kenneth Frederick Linihan, Jr., age 71, a long-time resident of Rouses Point, New York, passed away peacefully at Gill Odd Fellows Home in Ludlow, Vermont on Tuesday, June 15, 2021.
He was born in Bennington, on September 11, 1949 and was the son of Kenneth Linihan, Sr. and the late Ida Balch Linihan. Kenneth is a graduate of Mount St. Joseph's Academy in Rutland, and the Rutland Business College. Ken served with the Vermont National Guard for several years.
He had been employed in the Operations Department of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad as a station agent in Rouses Point, New York for many years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Rouses Point and a member of the American Legion in Rouses Point, New York. Ken was an avid animal lover and had adopted many dogs and cats over the years. Ken loved his home and the neighbors who were also animal enthusiasts. He also had been a volunteer at the Plattsburgh, New York Animal Shelter.
Besides his father of Manchester Center, Vermont, Kenneth is survived by his step-mother, Rosemary Linihan. One sister, Mary (Terrance) Perkins of Springfield, Vermont, two nephews:
Brian (Christina) Perkins of Springfield, Vermont and their two sons; Tucker and Tanner Perkins, and his nephew, Jeffrey (Lyndsie) Perkins of Springfield and their son, Fisk and their daughter, Rorie Perkins, and several cousins.
Kenneth is predeceased by his mother, grandparents and his special friend, Joyce Boyse..
A Mass of Christian and Death and Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 23 at 10:00AM at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manchester Center, Vermont.
Memorial donations may be made to any local animal shelter, through the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington, Vermont.
