Katrina E. Green, a resident of Willowbrook Drive in Bennington, Vermont, died on May 10, 2022, at Albany Medical Center.
Katrina was born in Bennington on November 20, 1964, to Sheila Dorothy King and Peter James Tardy. She attended Mount Anthony Union High School and graduated in 1982.
Following graduation, Katrina attended Putnam Memorial Nursing School and became an LPN. Katrina worked in several nursing homes, including Prospect Nursing Home, where she worked for over 20 years, and most recently at Brookdale Fillmore Pond Senior Living.
Katrina loved animals, especially birds. She loved to cook and was known for her cheesecakes and potato salad. Katrina loved her family, and her favorite activity was caring for her children and grandchildren. She had a big heart and genuinely cared for everyone and will be dearly missed.
Katrina is survived by her father, Peter Tardy, and step-mother Donna Tardy of Pennsylvania; her significant other, Preston C. McLellan of Bennington. Her sons; James Jr. "Jesse" (Keisha) of Petersburgh, NY, and Preston J. McLellan (Emma) of Bennington, her daughters; Julia (William) of Troy, NY, Molly Green, and Melodie Green, both of Bennington, her grandchildren; Kaziah, Xian, Devynn, Dyson, Deklyn, Caleb, William Jr., Riley, Jaxon and another near Christmas. A brother, Edward King of Tennessee, and two sisters, Holly Mead (Don) of Williamstown, MA, and Alicia King (Matthew) of Tennessee. Three very special friends, Sandy Ketcham, Julie Lauzon "Judy," and Ingrid Walker, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Sheila, Katrina is predeceased by a daughter, Isabella Betsy Green-McLellan, and her husband, James John "Jim" Green Sr.
Friends may call the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home following the visitation.
