Karl V. Kirchoff

Karl V. Kirchoff, 67, a resident of Bennington, Vermont died unexpectedly Monday March 30, 2020 at his residence.

He was born in Detroit, Michigan October 4, 1952. He was the son of the late Glenn A. Kirchoff Sr. and Catherine R. (Stolzenbach) Kirchoff. Karl graduated from Clarkston High School and later graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree in accounting. He later received a culinary degree from New York

Karl mostly recently worked as a chef at Laney's Restaurant and was the Owner of Hound Dawg Café both in Manchester, VT

Karl grew up on 44 acres in Clarkston, Michigan. He loved the outdoors, skiing,gardening, pranking his siblings and animals. He was a certified diver and enjoyed taking underwater pictures, mostly off the coast of Florida. Karl traveled to many places including, Amsterdam, Germany, Japan and China. He also enjoyed refurbishing antiques. Karl had a great sense of humor and a laugh that made you laugh. He was loved by many and will be sorely missed.

Survivors include a sister Madalene E. Meuwissen and her husband Mark. A brother Dale E. Kirchoff and his wife Teresa. Two cousins, George and Arthur Kirchoff and many nieces, nephews and cousins and good friend, Ryan Hassett. He was pre-deceased by a brother Glenn A. Kirchoff III and two sisters, Barbara K. Martinez and Gwyn A. Roseberry

Due to the COVID-19 Virus there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
