Kaine Craig Pero

Kaine Craig Pero, 6, a resident of Eagle Bridge, New York, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2024, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vermont, following an unexpected illness. Born on May 25th, 2018, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire. He was the beloved son of Brian Pero and Ashley Bacon. Kaine was raised in Eagle Bridge, New York. His early life was marked by the challenges of being born premature, but Kaine was strong even from birth. He was born a twin, sharing a special bond with his sister, Layla Jade Pero. Kaine attended Helping Hands School in Clifton Park, NY, and recently completed kindergarten at Cambridge Central School in Cambridge, NY. His young life was filled with joy and interests that included playing games on his PlayStation 5, such as Fortnite and Call of Duty. He enjoyed Spiderman, Paw Patrol, and spending time with his Great Dane, Siena. Kaine also loved swimming at Lake Grafton with his family and working alongside his dad. He will be remembered for his intelligence, kindness, and loving nature. Kaine will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his parents, Brian Pero and Ashley Bacon, his twin sister, Layla Jade Pero, his step-brother, Severi Joseph Davendonis, his grandmother, Linda J. Meron, his grandfather, Bradley Craig Pero (Rhonda Hoyt), and his great-grandmother, Ramona I. Gerity. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and classmates. Kaine was predeceased by his grandfather, David Meron, his grandmother, Linda Pero, his aunt, Amy Pero, his great-grandfather, Robert Gerity, and a brother, Brian C. Pero Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 25th, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Upper Willow Park Pavilion in Bennington, Vermont, The family requests that in honor of Kaine that those attending the celebration please dress casually and in bright colors. If friends should desire, contributions in memory of Kaine may be made directly to Kaine’s parents, Ashley Bacon or Brian Pero.
