Julianne Galipeau Hoffman passed away unexpectedly at her home in Gray, Maine in the arms of the man she loved on February 15, 2024 at the age of 66 years old. She was predeceased by her parents Julianne and Bernard Galipeau, her two sons, Martin and Derrick Hoffman, grandson Tyler Hoffman and sister Darlene Galipeau. She leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Martin Hoffman, her daughter Lindsay Hoffman, her sister Charlene Martin and husband Gary Martin, her brother, Kevin Galipeau, 8 grandchildren; Alexander Hoffman, logan Hoffman, Gabe Hoffman, Destiny Hoffman, Zachary Hoffman, Natalie Hoffman, Marley Mullins and Dahlia Mullins and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Julie was born November 7, 1957. She graduated from MAUHS in 1975 and received her associate degree in criminal justice from Saint Joseph’s College. She married March 10, 1979 and shortly after raised 3 children. Most of her life she was a stay at home mom but throughout the years worked in retail and had opened up her own antique store for a couple of years. She enjoyed crafts in her earlier years and spent her life collecting antiques and loved to shop. Gone with the wind was her all time favorite movie, her fur-babies were everything to her, she loved Christmas time and chocolate covered cherries. The last few years she loved making candles and soap. Julie spent her life taking care of everyone around her and took in anyone who needed a place to go. She was a truly strong, loving genuine and beautiful soul who loved those around her so deeply and did everything she could to make sure her family was well taken care of and gave the warmest heartfelt hugs ever. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington, VT on Friday February 23, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place in the spring at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the Mahar Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington on Thursday February 22, 2024, from 4-6 PM.
