Julia H. Betit

Julia H. Betit, 86, widow of Louis Betit, a longtime resident of Bennington, VT and more recently of Niskayuna, NY, died Thursday, June 29, 2023, in Schenectady, NY. She was born in West Rutland, VT July 2, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Camilla (Dombroski) Kaszuba. She married Louis Betit on July 2, 1955. Mr. Betit died on October 11, 2018. In earlier years, Julia was employed as an LPN at the then Putnam Memorial Hospital and, more recently the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. Julia’s home and family were her main interest. Survivors include three sons, Tim Betit (Peggy) of Marshfield, MA, Jeff Betit of Bridgewater, MA and Alan Betit and Chris Fink of Niskayuna, NY. Seven grandchildren, Dr. Steven Betit (Erica), Kayla Cote (Ben), Alexander Betit (Alexandria), Collin Betit, Cameron Betit, Marshall Betit (Rebecca) and Kristen Smith (Steve) and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her oldest son, David Betit and infant daughters, Lesley and Lisa as well as a daughter-in-law, Joanne Rogalski Betit. Friends may call at Sacred Heart Saint Francis de Sales Church on Thursday, July 6, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
