Judith Lanfair, age 72, a resident of Homestead Green in North Bennington died on Friday, August 3, 2018 at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington.
She was born in Bennington on October 30, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (LaPointe) Fox. She received her education in Bennington, and is a graduate of Bennington Catholic High School. For many years she was employed at New England Telephone as an operator. After leaving New England Telephone, Judith worked private duty as a Nurses Aide, and later as an Aide at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington.
She enjoyed reading, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Judith enjoyed traveling and even made a trip to Ireland.
She is survived by two sons: Thomas Lanfair and Brian Lanfair, both of Bennington, one grandson Nathaniel Lanfair also of Bennington. Judith leaves her siblings: Michael (Theresa) Fox of Alaska, Jean Sausville of Bennington, Patricia Nagel of Cambridge, NY, Timothy (Ann) Fox of Great Barrington, MA, Shawn (Diane) Fox of Middle Village, NY, as well as several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by one brother James Fox, and two brothers-in-law.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday morning, August 8, at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Church in North Bennington, VT.
Interment will follow in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. There are no calling hours scheduled.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Church, Houghton St. North Bennington.
