Joyce Ann Brine, 86, a resident of North Bennington, VT passed away peacefully at her home in North Bennington, Vermont She was born in Rutland, VT on February 16th, 1936 to the late Lillian (Julius) and Charles Lancour Sr. Joyce graduated from North Bennington Schools in 1956. While raising her children, she waitressed at many local restaurants. Once her children were grown, Joyce moved to Bangor, Maine, where she attended the University of Maine. While residing in Maine, she was employed at the Hope House. Upon returning home to Vermont, Joyce was employed by the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where she ran the detox unit for many years. Joyce was an incredible mother, and grandmother. She loved to spend her time doing crafts and woodworking. She held an incredible talent for baking, and ran a booth at the farmers market for many years with her baked goods. Joyce was also an extensive traveler. Joyce is survived by her son, Michael Watson, of Southport, NC, her six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, John Lancour, of Queensbury, NY, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, AJ Watson, a grandson, Kristifor Watson, and a brother, Charles Lancour. At Joyce’s request, there will be no services.
