Joslin Brooks Mayhew-Galusha (Mayhew)

Joslin Brooks Mayhew-Galusha, 36, a resident of Dewey Street, Bennington, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Born in North Adams, MA on May 21, 1984, she was the daughter of Cathleen J. O'Dowd and Robert Bruce Mayhew. Joslin received her education in the Bennington schools and later became a Licensed Nursing Assistant. She had previously been employed at several local health care facilities. At the time of her illness Joslin was working in the ICU at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She loved her job and always took great pride in working with her patients.

Joslin and Scott were united on July 5, 2019 in Northfield Center, OH where the service was performed by her uncle, William J. O'Dowd.

Joslin is survived by her husband Scott M. Galusha of Bennington; a step-daughter, Hayleigh E. Hamilton of Bennington; her mother, Cathy J. O'Dowd of Hudson, NH; her father, Robert Bruce Mayhew of Bennington; her maternal grandparents, Richard J. and Laurie J. O'Dowd of Strongsville, OH; her siblings, Shea M. Mayhew of Hudson, NH, Brandon M. Mayhew of Merrimack, NH and Austin R. Mayhew of Bennington, Thomas J. Mayhew of Alexandria, Virginia and Desire L. Shiffer of Garner, North Carolina; her mother-in-law, Patricia Galusha of Bennington; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Private funeral services will take place at the convenience of the family.
