JOSEPH L. WALSH OBITUARY
READSBORO, VERMONT

Joseph Leo Walsh, 90, a resident of Main Street, Readsboro, VT died on Friday, January 10, 2020 following a brief illness.

He was born in Brighton, MA on July 19, 1929 and was the son of the late Joseph and Marie Walsh. He received his education in Brighton. Joseph served in the Army and Merchant Marines during the Korean War Era. He married the former Theresa Nazzaro, who had predeceased him. Joseph later married the former Patricia Hardina, who has also predeceased him. Over the years, he has operated the Heartwellville Lodge, a traffic line painting company and when he retired he was doing upholstery. Joseph was a very active member of the Readsboro Lions Club for many years and a member of the Readsboro American Legion. He was a former member of the Rod and Gun Club in Concord, MA and the Sportsman Club in Stamford, VT. Joseph was an avid Archer, and was on the Senior Olympics Team as an Archer.

Joseph is survived by three children: David of Charlestown, MA, Michael (Jane) Walsh of Muskegon, MI, and Tracy (Richard) Walsh-Rondeau of Holly Springs, MS. He leaves five grandchildren: Christina Yang, Joshua Barr, Jacob Barr, Courtney Donovan and Tony Kilbride. Joseph has one sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Maroney of Massachusetts, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his two wives, he is predeceased by three sisters: Dorothy, Frances, Lois and one brother, James.

At Joseph's request, there will not be any services. The family would like to thank the Nurses of Bayada Hospice, and the nurses of the Veteran Administration for their care and quality of service.
