Joseph S. Predel (Predel) Jr.

July 20, 1964 — September 25, 2018

Joseph S. Predel Jr., 54, a resident of Penny Lane in Woodford, Vermont died unexpectedly Tuesday September 25, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Niskayuna, New York July 20, 1964. He was the son of the late Joseph S. Predel Sr. and Margaret (Griffeth) Gilbert and for a period of time was raised by his uncle and aunt Walter and Mary Hanson. Joe received his education in New York and later attended the Community College of Vermont where he studied to become a math teacher.

In earlier years Joe had been employed at BenMont Paper. He later owned and operated Budget Man Contracting along with is partner Keith Trottier.

He was a former member of the Bennington Eagles Club. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and drawing. His family and grandchildren were his life.

Survivors include his children, Dan Tifft (Kari) of Pownal, VT, Kimberly Leonard (Dan) of Pownal, VT, Nicole Baker (Shane) of Pownal, Joel Predel (Meaghan) of Bennington and Stephanie Predel of Bennington. His grandchildren, Kylee, Kyra, Kaitlyn, Caylyn, Cearya, Carter, Anna, Angela, Denise, Miranda, Dominique, Devin, Dennis Jr., Dewight, Brett, Dallas, Shane Jr., Isabella, Celia, Laehla, Hayden, Carson, Maddison, Hayden, Braelee, Lilleeona and Immarie. Two great grandchildren, Emmett and Autumn. A sister, Tinamarie Predel of Troy, NY and a half sister Vickie Bailey of Salisbury Center, New York. Along with many nieces, nephews and cousins

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Joseph S. Predel Jr will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday September 29, at 4:30 p.m.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
