Jonathan D. Peat, age 41, died on September 20, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center due to complications from a traumatic brain injury he sustained on September 17.

Jon was a wonderful and loving father, partner, son, brother in law and a great friend to many in the Bennington area. He was always available to friends who needed him for a smile, encouragement and support. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at his camp on Sucker Pond, snowboarding the peaks of the northeast, and hunting the woods of southern Vermont. He loved his dogs Ike and Millie. He was a member of the Bennington Lodge of Elks # 567.

Jon's hard work ethic, hearty laugh and playful nature earned him admiration of many in his community. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
