John R. Skelly

June 26, 1957 — March 19, 2021

John R. Skelly, 63, a resident of Route 7A in Shaftsbury died Friday March 19, 2021 at his residence in Shaftsbury, VT following a long illness.

He was born in Albany, NY June 26, 1957. He was the son of the late John A. and Margaret L. (Carroll) Skelly. John grew up in Glassboro, New Jersey where he graduated from high school.

He moved to Vermont in the early 80's. He had been employed at Kaman Composites in Bennington for several years.

He loved living in Vermont. He enjoyed fishing and his cats.

Survivors include his former wife, Gail Kirkpatrick of Shaftsbury.

John's wish is to be cremated.

A celebration of John's life will be held at a later date.
