Jody James Loveland, 33, passed quietly at Jack Byrne Center on March 12, 2019 after a brief illness.
Jody was born in Bennington on April 4, 1985. He attended North Bennington Elementary School and graduated from Mount Anthony Union High School in 2004.
Jody is survived by his fiancé Laura Spika and their children- Adrian, Abram, Adalyn, Oakley and Finley of Shaftsbury; his mother Colleen Loveland of Bennington; his brother Seth Loveland (Amanda) and their children Annalise and Jack of Bennington; and Seth's daughter Laehla of Pownal; his "Ma" PJ DeVito of Shaftsbury; his paternal grandparents Pat and Max Perrotta of Bennington; his maternal grandmother Simone Coyne of Bennington; a lifelong friend, cousin Trevor Coyne of Bennington; many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Ernie Loveland in July of 2018 and his maternal grandfather Jack Coyne in December of 2009.
Jody had a passion for football his favorite team was the 49ers. He was the quarterback for Mount Anthony, played during and after college, as well as flag football. He loved assigning positions for his children as he got to know their personalities. Jody was always outside; he loved hunting and fishing or just a simple walk in the woods. Jody's childhood nickname was squirrel.
Jody knew many people and touched every person's life he came in contact with.
Jody's greatest joy in life was his kids. He was a devoted father and always put his family first.
A celebration of Jody's life will take place at a future date.
