Joan D. Stoessel

Joan D. Stoessel, 77 of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 7, 2023. Joan was born in Bennington on July 11, 1946, the daughter of William and Jennie (Williams) Guimond. She received her primary education in Bennington and attended Benn High School. She was married to Albert Stoessel who predeceased her. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was also a lover of animals. Joan is survived by her daughter, Mechelle (John) Denue of Bennington, her sister, Marie Guimond, three stepchildren; Donna Stoessel, Diane Stoessel and Albert Stoessel, Jr., three grandchildren; Marcel Coulter, Daniel Jones, and Casey Jones and three great-grandchildren; Maxx Coulter, Miles Coulter and Madison Coulter. She was predeceased by a daughter, Tammy Coulter, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Mabel Bronson, Dorothy McIntire, Martin Bronson, and Margaret Federico. Graveside services for Joan will be held on Monday October 16, 2023, at 3:00 PM at White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington, VT.
