Joan Russell-Ramos, 71 of Eagle Bridge, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 22, 2023 at the Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, NY. Joan was born in Glens Falls on July 21, 1951, the daughter of Frank and Jewel (Stout) Coats. She was a graduate of Adirondack Community College where she obtained an associate degree in business. Joan married Joseph Ramos, Jr., in January 2023. Throughout her life, Joan was an incredibly caring person and always gave of herself. She did mission work in Central and South America. She has most recently retired as a site manager for low-income senior housing. Joan took in countless people over the years, welcoming anyone who needed a place to stay and a hot meal. Joan cooked 8 turkeys every Thanksgiving for the soup kitchen. She served as a Sunday school teacher for many years as well as homeschooling her own children. Her greatest joy was her numerous grandchildren who she absolutely loved and adored. She will be dearly missed by the countless people whose lives she touched. Joan is survived by her husband, Joseph, her children; Joseph Wilson, Curt Wilson, Keiva Harrington, Joshua Mullin and Allison Mullin; her mother; Jewel Coats her brother, Richard Coats; her sisters; Kathy Graham, Rebecca Kill, Ann Costalas and Ethel Coats; many, many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and some very, very close friends. She was predeceased by a son, Andrew Mullin and her father, Frank Coats. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 1;00 PM at the Harvest Christian Ministries 945 Main Street Bennington, VT. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in North Argyle Cemetery in Argyle, NY.
