Joan Ann Reynolds

Joan Ann Reynolds, 83, a longtime Bennington resident, passed away suddenly on November 26th, 2023, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY. Joan was born in Troy, NY on January 31, 1940, the daughter of George and Clara (Smith) Hawks. She married the love of her life, Claude Edward Reynolds, on December 15 th, 1960, and after 52 years of marriage, he passed away in 2013. Joan was an assembler at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury, VT for many years and raised her family on Chapel Road in Bennington, VT. Joan was extremely dedicated to her family. Joan is survived by her 3 daughters, Christine (Michael) Reuschel of Manchester, NH, Deborah Maille of Hoosick Falls, NY and Melissa Reynolds of Hoosick Falls, NY; her grandchildren; Carl Reynolds-Reuschel, Adam Reynolds-Reuschel, Kaayla Sjaan Reynolds-Hunt and Chey Amber Reynolds-Hunt. She is also survived by her siblings; William Hawks of Texas, Richard Hawks of White Creek, NY, Joyce Hawks-Watson of N. Bennington, VT, and Sharon Stryker, along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Mahar Funeral Home 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT.
