It is with great sadness that the family of Jeremy Scott Allen announces his passing on Thursday April 7, 2016, at the age of 31. Jeremy was a resident of Union Street in Bennington VT.
He was born at Southern Vermont Medical Center on November 14, 1984, and was the son Ralph Wideawake and Alice (Allen) Salisbury. He received his education at Mount Anthony Union High School.
He previously had been employed at Mattison's Brew Pub in Bennington.
Jeremy enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved watching wrestling. He was very good at expressing his feelings in his writings. He enjoyed Spending time with his uncle Edward and cousin Leeann. Jeremy has his two children he leaves behind Alyssa and Wyatt, whom he adored and spent most of his time with, Jeremy enjoyed taking his two children on walks and to the park.
Besides his children, he is survived by his mother, Alice Salisbury of Bennington, one brother Joshua (Holly) Allen of Adams, MA, his sister Lisa (Michael) Woodson of Bennington and his sister, Nicole (Michael) Allen of Shaftsbury, VT. His nieces and nephews: Mackenzie, Maxwell, Taylor, Kylah, Brodie, Alianah, Jayceon, Aria and Evan.
Jeremy is survived by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Allen of Bennington, paternal grandparents, Ralph and Phyllis Wideawake of Bennington, several aunts, uncles and cousins as well as the mother of his children, Kimberly of Bennington.
He is predeceased by maternal grandfather Edward Allen.
A memorial service will be held on Friday morning, April 15, at the Bible Baptist Church on Harwood Hill in Bennington at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
