WHITE CREEK, NY
Jennifer Marie Hunt, 40, a resident of Crescent Manor Health Care, passed away peacefully at her family home in White Creek, NY on Monday, March 11, 2019. Jen fought a brave battle against Huntington's Disease with the help of her many caregivers whom she loved dearly. Jen was surrounded by the love and laughter of family and friends at her passing. Jennifer was predeceased by her mother, Joyce Hunt, who also passed from Huntington's Disease on March 11, 2005.
Jen was born on December 29, 1978 to Joseph and Joyce (Morehouse) Hunt. She grew up in White Creek where she enjoyed the close knit community of farmers, family and friends. She had many fond memories of her beloved grandparents, Ralph and Ruth (Gulley) Hunt, and was very fond of her special Grandma Bess and grandparents Mary and Claude Morehouse.
In her early years Jen attended Cambridge Central School. After high school she attained her nursing assistant licensure. She worked in several local facilities as an LNA. Jennifer loved her patients and was known for paying special attention to them. She at times brought those with no family to her family gatherings and for outings.
Jennifer's greatest loves in life were her two boys, Riley Hunt and Richard Jordan Jr. She was very proud of both of them and delighted in their sense of humor and loving hearts.
Jennifer loved to spend time with her family. Survivors include her dedicated father, Joseph Hunt and step mother Andrea; her step sister, Aubrey Davis; her uncle, Clarence "Tom" Hunt and his wife; her cousin Dan and wife Susan; her brother Jason Hunt and wife Audra and their children Erin Hunt, Christian Hunt, Tanner Wolfrum, Scott Cary and Justin Cary; very special cousins, Dawn Keus (and Greg Stratton) and Darcy Hunt (and James Conklin); several cousins and their children, Jamie Keus and daughter Maddie Ruth, Dana Keus and children, Sawyer and Evelyn. She also had extended Morehouse and Lauzons that she was very close to; Uncle Joe and Joanne Dwyer and their children; very special devoted friends: Marjorie, Mike, Nikki and Marti Lafountain, Melissa Stemp, Carrie Percey, Holly and Josh Hagadorn. She was known for assigning all of us with "special nicknames".
Jen loved life. She loved cookouts, bon fires, laughter, hugs, music and a great margarita. She loved attending the local diners with her Dad. She loved making crafts for her family and friends. She loved ocean vacations and couldn't wait to hunt for shells, soak up the sun and get her toes in the sand. We will always picture her this way; on the beach in tie-dye.
Our family would like to thank the staff at Crescent Manor for their unwavering dedication to Jen, and anyone who participated in her care.
Please join us for a celebration of Jen's life on Sunday, March 31st at the North Hoosick Firehouse at 1:00 p.m. for food and sharing.
