Jeannette E. Kulas, 101 of Bennington, VT, passed away peacefully at her home on October 17, 2024. Jeannette was born in Bennington on March 5, 1923, the youngest of 19 children born to Cyprien and Desanges (Boutin) LaCroix. She received her early education at Sacred Heart School in Bennington and later attended high school for 2 years. She married Anthony Joseph Davendonis on February 4, 1945. In her earlier years she was employed at EZ Mill and Charles Cooper Company. Later she was employed at Albany Felt International Company where she retired from in 1986. She was a member of the St. Stanislaw Society in Hoosick Falls, NY for over 30 years. Jeannette enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and especially talking and visiting with friends. Jeannette is survived by a son; Anthony Joseph Davendonis of Hoosick Falls, NY, three daughters, Jean Hagner of Bennington, VT, Joan Olivieri of Staten Island, NY and Ruth Ann Davendonis of Summerville, SC; her grandchildren, Jill Davendonis-Marks, Gregg Davendonis, Elise Alam, Jeffrey Olivieri, Joe Hagner and Roxanne Irick; 4 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeannette was predeceased by 18 brothers and sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart/St. Francis Church on Wednesday October 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM, burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Wednesday October 23 from 10:30-11:30 am.
