Jeanette Frances Quinn, 83, a resident of North Pownal, passed away unexpectedly on November 14th, 2021 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. She was born in Bennington, VT, on July 6th, 1938 to Wilbur John Dwyer and Alice Beatrice Fuller.
At the end of the 1950's, Jeanette moved to Florida. She spent the majority of her life in St. Petersburg, Florida, while raising her children. Jeanette worked as a machinist for many different companies. Her career as a machinist began at Warren Wire in Pownal. After moving to Florida, she was employed by Murray Machinery and later was employed by Universal Labeling Systems in St. Petersburg.
Jeanette loved to spend time with her family. She had a special fondness for dogs, especially Chihuahua's, Rottweilers and Papillon dogs. After coming back to Bennington, she enjoyed spending time at the American Legion and taking trips in the car to look at the scenery, or down to the Cozy Corner in Williamstown for a meal.
She was someone who was always putting everyone else first and making sure that they were taken care of before herself.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Doreen Weeden (Richard Martin), seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Andrew Dwyer, and her daughter-in-law, Mindy Quinn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Norman Francis Quinn Sr., a brother, Edward Dwyer, and her son, Steven Francis Quinn.
A private burial will take place in the spring at the family lot in Park Lawn Cemetery, Bennington, VT.
