Jason G. Turey

Jason G. Turey, 49, a resident of Elm St. in Bennington, VT died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Connecticut on June 15, 1972. He was the son of Thomas Turey and the former Nancy (Murphy) Turey. He received his education in Connecticut.

He married the former Jennifer Kelly on August 18, 2018 in Bennington.

Jason was a very skilled carpenter. He most recently had been employed by Naylor and Breen Construction.

Jason loved Grateful Dead music and over the years had been to many concerts. He cherished his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Turey of North Bennington. Three step daughters, Mariah Corbeil, Taylor Siegrist and Rebecca Siegrist all of Bennington. His mother and step father; Nancy Murphy Pothier and Don Pothier of Conway, NC. His father; Thomas Turey of Rendondo Beach, CA. A sister, Jennifer Turey of Newtown, CT. Nieces; Helena and Zola Draghi. A nephew; Andrew Draghi III. Uncles; Will Turey of Bethel, CT, Joseph Murphy of Hilton Head, SC, Patrick Murphy of Texas, and Joe Wiedermann of New York, NY. Aunts; Maureen Turey of New York, NY and Sue Murphy of Florida and cousins, Erika Trimarchi Derby of Connecticut, Jeff Baumgardner of New York, NY, Shelly Murphy, of New Jersey, Fiona Wiedermann of Los Angeles, CA and Rachel Wiedermann of New York, NY. Along with many friends. Jason also leaves behinds a special friend, Linda Langer. He is predeceased by his grandparents; Helen and William Turey and Jean and James Murphy, an Uncle Jim Murphy and cousin Jimmy Murphy.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Thursday, February 24, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Thursday at the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Twardy of the Bible Baptist Church officiating.
