Janet Jones

Janet M. Jones, 84, resident of Hoosick Falls, NY passed away peacefully on August 16th, 2024 at the Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Hoosick Falls, NY.

She was born on October 22nd, 1939 to the late Lloyd and Florence (Grover) Cameron in East Arlington, VT. Growing up, she would receive her education at the Arlington Memorial High School, and graduated in 1957.

Janet would go on to become a caregiver at BFair in North Adams, MA – providing care to handicapped adults. Her compassionate nature was shown in her work – acting as an advocate to help her patients lead independent lives. She also worked as a bartender at several local bars in the Bennington/Pownal area; Reggies and Cliffside being two of them. When Janet wasn’t working, you could find her enjoying a good book, or crocheting.

Janet is survived by her son, John Jones of Cambridge, NY, and her brother Robert (Ginny) Cameron. Several grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, Wesley, Courtney, Brittany, and Shelby. As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, and great-nieces and nephews.

Janet is predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Florence (Grover) Cameron. Her brothers, Donald and Edwin Cameron, her sister, Mary Jean Wright and two sons, Richard and James Jones.

A graveside service for Janet will be held on August 27th, 2024 at 11:00am at Evergreen Cemetery in Arlington, VT.
