Jane M. Silver, 85, a resident of 103 Monument Road, Richmond, NH, passed away on January 8, 2019 in Hobe Sound, Florida.
She was born at the family home in Troy, New Hampshire on July 23, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Carter) Lepisto. She received her education in Troy, New Hampshire and later graduated from nursing school in Keene, New Hampshire as a registered nurse. At the time, at age 17, she was the youngest person to be accepted at the nursing school.
She married William Silver at Saint Francis de Sales Church in Bennington. Mr. Silver died November 11, 1982.
In earlier years Jane was employed as a RN at the Elliot Community Hospital in New Hampshire and later at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, Florida.
While growing up, Jane played basketball, had a love of horses, which she passed on to her children. Her main passion was caring for people. She also loved to travel.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Kathleen J. Radway and Herwin of Hobe Sound, Florida, Dean Silver of Grafton, VT and Mary Silver of Richmond, New Hampshire. Nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was pre-deceased by a brother Charles Lepisto and a sister Joan Mullaly.
The funeral was held in Bennington, Vermont on January 17, 2019 and burial took place in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery in Bennington.
