James N. Mallory, 93, a resident of Twitchell Hill Road in Shaftsbury, VT. died Tuesday November 9, 2021 at the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington following a brief illness.
He was born in Bennington, VT May 6, 1928. He was the son of the late Jesse and Gladys (Nichols) Mallory. He received his education in Bennington.
James served in the United States Army Air Force in World War II.
He married the former Patricia Gagne on June 26, 1954 at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Bennington.
In earlier years Jim was employed at Horst's Dairy. He later worked parttime at Agway and full time at Bijur from which he retired.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 13. He was a loving father and grandfather. His family was his main interest.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mallory of Shaftsbury, VT. A son, Glenn Mallory and his wife Louise of Bennington. Two daughters, Tamara Capriola of Shaftsbury and Jamea Lundy and her husband Peter of North Carolina. Five grandchildren, Krislyn, Kamryn and Charles Capriola and Matthew and James Lundy. Two great grandchildren, Garrett and Lucas Capriola. Along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by three sisters and four brothers.
At Mr. Mallory's request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
