James Edward Lane Sr. passed from this life on Friday, August 9, 2019 at Crescent Manor Care Center at the age of 72.

James was the son of the late Francis and Kathleen Lane; husband to the late Edna May (Bourn) Lane, father to the late Anthony "Tony" Lane and brother of the late Ronnie and Ralph Lane.

He is survived by his son, James Edward Lane Jr., his brother, Mike Lane; his sisters, Cynthia Knapp, Peggy Morse, Arlene Marsden and Kathleen Dewey; his daughter-in-law, Dale Lane; his former daughter-in-law, Janine Getty; his grandchildren, Mason Eriksen, Cassandra Lane, Amanda Lane, James Lane III, Della Lane, Delia Lane, Dixie Ludwig, MaKayla Mullen, Sandra Grogan, Maranda Eriksen and Joshua Eriksen; great-grandchildren Landon, Serenity, Jaylynne, Christopher, Daimen, Shayla, Karina, Zoe, Michelle, Zane, Kaydance, Josh Jr. and Zaelyn.

James was an avid motorcyclist with a zest for life that showed when he danced. A very generous soul with a charming wit for storytelling, unbelievable smile that would melt anyone's heart with a compassion and undeniable love of animals, especially his cat "Squeaky".
