He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Jim was predeceased by his mother Vivian Keus, Father Richard Purdy, sister Erica Keus Lafayette, brother Richard Keus and two nephews Lucas and Brandon Snide. Jimmy loved the great outdoors. He took to climbing trees like a fish takes to water. He truly loved his dogs Trinket, Molly, Julie, Spot and Dot. They were his "partners in crime" whenever hunting rabbit or raccoon. Besides a healthy addiction to hunting and the big outdoors, Jim loved his family and friends fiercely. He certainly was a guy that "left a lasting impression" and was loved by all who knew him. His "Jimmyisms" will leave a lasting impression in the minds of all who knew him well. A couple of favourites that come to mind are "grubstick" and "I'm so hungry my belly thinks my throat's slit" but we won't elaborate any further. If you only met him once in your lifetime, you would certainly never forget the encounter. Jim was employed at NSK for many years as a machine operator and later a Maintenance mechanic until the tragic accident that occurred on 04-09-2002. From that time on, he was cared for at home by many loving family members. The family is having an End -of-Life celebration at the Prospect Ski Mountain Lodge on July 15, 2023 at 1:00pm. It will be cookout style and anyone wishing to bring a dish, please do so. Also, bring your stories and memories of him to share with each other. If friends should desire, contributions in memory of Jim may be made to VNA and Hospice of the Southwest Region, through the office of Mahar Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington, Vermont 05201
