JAMES JONES OBITUARY
SHUSHAN, NEW YORK
James Stewart Jones, 59, a resident of Shushan, New York, died on Monday June 14, 2021 at Albany Medical Center, following a brief illness related to the bleeding disorder: von Willibrand.
He was born in Bennington, Vermont on May 7, 1962 and was the son of the late Norman Jones and Janet (Cameron) Jones who survives. Jim married the former Lisa Rogers on January 4, 1986 in Bennington. She survives. Jim was a Master Plumber who had worked for himself as well as Cameron Plumbing and Heating in Manchester, Vermont.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, playing cards, hunting and fishing, including deep sea fishing in Maine for striped bass. Jim was a Buffalo Bills and a New York Yankee fan. He was a member of the Bennington Moose Lodge, and a Past Assistant Fire Chief of North Bennington Fire Department.
He loved spending time with his family, and with his pug Gomer.
Besides his wife Lisa and mother, Janet, Jim is survived by his son Wesley and his partner Erin Boggan of Cambridge, New York, his daughter Courtney and her partner Josh Rowland of Shushan, New York. Jim leaves his grandson Landon Rowland, of Shushan. Jim, is also survived by his brother, John and his wife Patty of Cambridge, New York, as well as Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and many extend family.
Jim is predeceased by his dad, and his brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June, 24, 2021 at 6:00 pm at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
