James J. Farrell

James J. Farrell, 63, a resident of Farrell Road in Shaftsbury, VT passed peacefully Tuesday October 11, 2022 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born in Kingston, NY August 22, 1959. He was the son of the late John J. Farrell and Frances M. Polito. He received his education in Kingston and was a graduate of Saint Anselm’s College and later received his Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of Minnesota He married the former Patricia Ann “Patty” Thornton on September 15, 1989. Patty died January 25, 2022. Jim had been employed as an administer at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center. For over 30 years Jim worked at Glaxo Smith Klein in sales. He loved all sports. He was a Boston Red Sox fan. Jim enjoyed playing racquetball and golf. An avid runner, Jim ran the Boston and Minnesota Marathon. He truly loved life and traveling. Survivors include two sons, Conor and Trevor Farrell. A sister, Diane M. Farrell Bartlett of Roanoke, Virginia. Two brothers, Christopher J. Farrell of Kingston, NY and John J. Farrell of Anchorage, Alaska along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Farrell.
