James Reid Fairley

James R. Fairley, “Jungle Jim”, resident of Bennington, Vermont, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, November 9, 2023. James was born on September 26, 1938 to Lytle and Marguerete Fairley in Cambridge, NY. James would later serve in the Navy and Marine Corps. James loved aircraft – from working on them to flying them. He even became an aviation mechanic. James took pride in everything he did. James is survived by: his beloved wife of 59 years, Phyllis Fairley, his daughter Joanne Fairley-Gallant, son-in-law Jeffrey Gallant, granddaughter Courtney Brittain, grandson Jordan Gallant, granddaughter Jayla Gallant, great- granddaughter Addison Brittain, great-grandson Samual Brittain, great-granddaughter Ella Brittain, and great-grandson Lincoln Michael and Siamese cat Judah.
