James Carlo DiGennaro, age 73, a resident of Ethan's Way in Bennington, died on Monday, December 7, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in North Adams, MA on April 6, 1947 and was the son of the late Vincent and June (Anspach) DiGennaro. He received his education in North Adams schools. He married the former Joyce Meerwarth in 1976. She survives. James had been employed as a truck driver for H. A. George Fuel Company, Kelly Lumber, Baters Trucking, and Filkins Transportation.
Besides his wife; he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, James C. (Barbra) DiGennaro, Jr. of Adams, MA. He leaves three grandchildren: Derek, Angela, and Dylan. As well as one great grandson, Mason. James is survived by two brothers: Thomas (Donna) DiGennaro from Lenox, MA and Michael (Susan) DiGennaro from Ft. Walton Beach, FL.
James and Joyce were avid campers, and members of the Family Motor Coach Association, and had traveled the country in their motor coach for ten years. He enjoyed being outdoors, doing yard work, cutting grass and shoveling snow. He was an avid muscle car guy, who enjoyed following the drag races at Lebanon Valley.
Services will be held at a time to be announced in the spring of 2021.
