James Patrick Bushee

BENNINGTON- James Patrick Bushee, 59, a resident of Bennington, VT passed away unexpectedly on January 10th, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Manchester, VT on April 5th, 1964 to the late Henrietta Proulx and Donald Bushee Sr. Jim graduated from Mt. Anthony Union High School with the Class of 1983. He was employed at Price Chopper in Bennington from the age of 15 until his passing. His retirement date was set for this spring, after being with the company for 45 years. Following his retirement, he had plans to travel. Jim truly loved his job and was the definition of a workaholic. Jim loved to go hiking and would travel all over to find new trails. He had a heart of gold and was always putting the needs of others ahead of his own. Jim was always there to help and lend a hand. He loved his dogs and cats very much. Jim is survived by his children; Eric Bushee, Chelsea Bushee and Ariana Monaco. His fiancé, Wanda Plawinski. Four siblings; Barbara Peckham (Joel), Susan Bishop, Sarah Odvar (John), and Thomas Bushee (Sue). Jim is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his older brother, Donald Bushee Jr. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at the Beech Street Firehouse on Friday January 26, 2024 from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
