James A. Bouplon

May 8, 1964 — August 25, 2016

James A. Bouplon, 52, a resident of Donald Greene Road in Shaftsbury died Thursday August 25, 2016 at the home of his daughter Meghan Bouplon and son in law Kyle Legacy following a long illness.

He was born in Bennington, VT May 8, 1964. He was the son of the late Carl Bouplon Sr. and Myrtie (Callahan) Bouplon. Jim received his education in Bennington and attended Mount Anthony Union High School.

For 23 years Jim worked as a machinist at Kaman Composites in Bennington.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing. His family and grandchildren were his main interest. He especially enjoyed fishing with his grandson Braiden

Survivors include two daughters, Meghan Bouplon and Kyle Legacy of Shaftsbury, VT and Morgan Bouplon of Bennington; three grandchildren, Braiden and Riley Legacy of Shaftsbury and Sawyer Lawrence of Bennington. Two brothers Carl Bouplon Jr. of Winstead, VT and Perry Bouplon and his wife Marlene of Shaftsbury, VT; two sisters, Penny Greene and her husband Michael of Shaftsbury and Lisa Gilbert and her husband Edward of Halifax,VT. along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Saturday August 27 at noon.

The burial will follow in the family lot at Center Shaftsbury Cemetery

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
