Irma Myers, 93, a resident of Rockwood, Street, in Bennington died on Monday, April 5, 2021 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, following a brief illness.
Irma was born in Milford, Pennsylvania on September 22, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Matilda Myer. She received her education in Milford Schools. Following high school, Irma studied Nursing. For several years, she had resided in Niskayuna, New York and had been employed at Nusbaum's Mens Clothing Store in Schenectady, New York. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, and riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She stopped riding at the age of eighty-five.
Irma moved to Bennington, Vermont in 2017, with her life partner, George Savela.
Besides George, Irma is survived by two sons: Richard D. (Lucy) Myers of Marietta, New York, and Andrew M. (Dora) Myers of Clifton Park, New York. She leaves three grandchildren: Richard Myers, Heidi Myers-Bassett, and Mary Myers, as well as one great grandson Gunnar Myers-Bassett.
At Irma's request there will not be any services scheduled. Inter will take place at a later time
