Hunter James Hopkins Miller, 19, a resident of Krum Road in Pownal, VT died unexpectedly on Monday July 6, 2020 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
He was born in North Adams, MA November 6, 2000. Son of Mark Miller and Jo Ann Powell. Hunter received his education in Pownal and Bennington, VT.
His passion was working on engines small and large, in the mechanical world he was a jack of all trades and master of none. Motocross was his sport of choice where he had begun to thrive and made friends that turned into family. Hunter was on a continuous journey, always looking for new adventures to pursue. Friends would join him for rides through the woods to beautiful destinations. They would also spend time creating tracks of their own.
Hunter was a son, uncle, and baby brother. He was a role model to his nephew who would watch him for hours tinkering on motors and racing on the track. His heart was warm and giving, always making an impression on everyone he met. Friends refer to him as "the life of the party". He enjoyed putting a smile on your face and making you laugh. He will be truly be missed by all of his family and friends.
Survivors include his father and mother, Mark Miller and Jo Ann Powell of Pownal, VT. A sister, Mattea Miller and a brother Powell Miller both of Pownal. A nephew, Sylas Leonard and a niece Finley Miller both of Pownal. His maternal grandmother, Phyllis Powell of North Adams, MA and his paternal grandmother Connie Miller of Ludlow, VT along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of Hunter's life will be held on Saturday July 18, 2020 at the America Legion Pavilion in Pownal, VT from 1pm " 4pm.
