Howard C. Davis

February 25, 1931 — June 23, 2017

Mr. Howard C. Davis, 86, a resident of Crossover Road in Bennington died peacefully Friday June 23, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side following a brief illness.

He was born in Searsburg, VT February 25, 1931. He was the son of the late Howard Clifford and Dorothy (Whalen) Davis. He received his education in Searsburg.

Mr. Davis married the former Betty L. Britch in Bennington on October 18, 1948.

Howard and his wife Betty ran a construction business as well as other business endeavors.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family

Survivors include his wife Betty L. Davis of Bennington; his children, Susan Davis of Bennington, Bruce Davis of Hobe Sound, Florida, Dr. Brenda Davis of Dummerston, VT and Tracy Towslee of Woodford; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a daughter Sandra Davis

At the request of Mr. Davis there will be no calling hours or funeral services.

A private graveside service will be held at the family lot at White Chapel Cemetery.
