Helena J. Hogan, 72, a resident of East Court, Pownal, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 30, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born in Bennington on October 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James A. Noble and Veronica (Kelly) Noble Eastman. Helena received her education in the Bennington schools.
Helena married Bernard J. Hogan in Bennington on December 28, 1984.
She was employed at Vishay-Tanistor in Bennington for over 35 years until the time of her retirement.
Helena was a member of the Pownal Post 69 American Legion Auxillary. She greatly enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, knitting, camping and motorcycle riding with Bernie.
Survivors include her husband, Bernard J. Hogan of Pownal; five children, Barbara Grey of Washington state, Susan Hebert of Bennington, William Whitman of Arlington, Kelly Whitman of Maine and Kimberly Ratelle of Greenwich, NY; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two brothers, James and John Noble, both of Florida, Two half-brothers, Mark and Richard Noble of Bennington and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helena was predeceased by her step-father, Clifford Eastman, and two brothers, Robert and Arthur Noble.
Friends are invited to pay their respects to the family at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Burial will immediately follow at Park Lawn Cemetery where committal services will be held at 1:15 p.m.
