Helen M. Telford, 60, a resident of Shaftsbury Hollow Road, White Creek, NY, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home.

Born in Bennington on January 4, 1958, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Mary (Sargood) Cross. Helen received her education in the Hoosick Falls Schools and was a 1976 graduate of Hoosick Falls Central School.

She married Patrick M. Telford Sr. on July 8, 1977. Helen was employed for 33 years at Energizer Products in Bennington until her retirement last year.

Helen enjoyed all types of crafts. Her greatest enjoyment was time spent with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick Telford, a son, Edward Telford, a daughter, Irene Telford and a granddaughter, Karlie Telford, all of White Creek; three sisters, Lynn Cushing of Bennington, Phyllis (Jay) Arnold of Hoosick Falls and Denise Cross (Bill Seward) of West Glenville, NY; a brother, Perle (Tracy) Cross of South Carolina and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen was predeceased by two brothers, Edward J. Cross Jr. and Richard M. Cross.

At Helen's request private services will take place at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations in Helen Telford's memory may be made to either the White Creek Fire Department or to Jermaine Hall in White Creek through the office of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home, 628 Main Street, Bennington, VT 05201.
