Harold C. Galusha (Galusha) Sr.

July 8, 1944 — March 28, 2017

Harold C. Galusha Sr., 72, a resident of Mountain View Road in Bennington died Tuesday March 28, 2017 at the Bennington Heath and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

He was born in Middletown, CT July 8, 1944. He was the son of the late Edward and Anita (Brophy) Galusha. Harold received his education in Bennington. Mr. Galusha served in the United States Navy.

He married the former Patricia Muckle May 1, 1970 in Bennington.

For 20 years, Harold had been employed at Stanley Tools in Shaftsbury. He also worked part time at the Bennington Elks.

He was a member of the Bennington Lodge of Elks # 567 and a former member of the Bennington Moose Lodge. He enjoyed NASCAR, baseball and football. He also enjoyed bowling and collecting baseball cards. In earlier years he coached MAYAA football and little league baseball.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Galusha of Bennington; two sons, Harold "Butch" Galusha Jr. and Scott Galusha and Joslin Mayhew both of Bennington. Three grandchildren, Alexandra Galusha, Beckett "Buddy" Galusha and Hayliegh Elizabeth Hamilton "Galusha" and a cousin Mark Tapley of Salem, MA.

A memorial service to celebrate Harold's life will be held at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home in Bennington on Saturday April 8, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.

Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from noon until the time of the service.

The burial will follow in the family lot at Park Lawn Cemetery.
