SHAFTSBURY- Guy Douglas Vosburgh 57, a resident of Shaftsbury, VT. passed away on November 7th, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY following an accident at work.
Born September 25th, 1964 at Bellevue Hospital in Niskayuna, NY to the late Sarah Elizabeth (Williams) Vosburgh. He was the youngest of Sarah's seven children.
Guy lived for his children; Curtis and Chasity Vosburgh and Jeannie and Donald Carpenter. He also remained best friends with his second wife Tammy Berard. Guy also loved his grandchildren Kenneth and Travis Smith; Grampy's baby girl Alexandrea Catherine, and his G-Man (Gerald).
He attended Mt. Anthony Union High School and was a part of the boys program.
Guy held a variety of jobs but for the most part was self employed. This was true in more recent years as Curtis and Guy did their own construction, landscaping and odd jobs together.
Besides his family, Guy also enjoyed Ford trucks, and especially loved celebrating any occasion he could with his friends and family.
Survivors include his children; Curtis and Chasity Vosburgh, and Jeannie and Donald Carpenter. Grandchildren; Kenneth and Travis Smith, and Alexandrea Catherine. His sisters; Linda Devlin, Sandy Sherman, and Ida Charpentier and his brother; RJ Vosburgh. As well as many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Guy also is survived by his best friend Tammy Berard and Curtis's fiance Taylor French, and her son G-Man (Gerald).
Guy was predeceased by his mother; Sarah Elizabeth (Williams) He is also predeceased by his sister, Debbie Lackey, and his brother, Howard Palmatier.
Calling hours for Guy will be from 10:30am till 12:30pm on Friday, November 12th, 2021 at the E.P. Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201. At the conclusion of the calling hours, there will be a service at 12:30pm.
Immediately following the service, the family will proceed to Park Lawn Cemetery for Guy's internment.
At Guy's request the family would like to invite people that are going to the cemetery to drive a truck in the procession to the cemetery.
