BENNINGTON
Grace M. Squires of Bennington, Vermont who was born on July 6th, 1990, passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening, October 20, 2018.
Grace is survived by her mothers, Vickie M. Squires and Bonnie J. Dunlop. She is also survived by her father, Gregory A. Squires Jr. and by four sisters, Katherine E. Squires, Sara E. Squires, Sonya M. Dunlop and Jennifer M. Jones.
With passing at such a young age, Grace is survived by many loving family members and friends. Anyone who new Grace knows that she had a child-like spirit and loved to be silly and have fun. She truly enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her nephew Reno and niece Riley and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of the baby Remy. She really was the best auntie one could ask for.
Grace was a true water sign and could swim for hours on end. She would swim as early and as late in the season as possible and enjoyed swimming at the Rec Center during the winter months. Grace always said that the water made her feel at peace; so light-weight floating above the water. Grace shared many other hobbies with her nephew over the years. Some included Basketball, walking, board games, Super Mario and creating art work. Grace knew how to enjoy life but she also knew how to work hard and that is exactly what she did. She was a strong and determined person and this too carried out in her work ethic.
Grace attained an associate's degree in human services and found a passion for helping others through hard times. More recently she spoke of returning to school to become a counselor and help young people with substance abuse.
Grace will forever be a beloved daughter, sister, auntie and friend. As she would say we were all lucky to be "Graced" by such an amazing presence and beautiful soul. Her memory will live on through us all, as we remember to enjoy life and just have fun. Life is unpredictable and full of surprises, good and bad. So be silly, enjoy your loved ones and eat the cupcake!
