Gilbert D. Rowley (Rowley)

October 3, 1942 — February 19, 2018

Gilbert D. Rowley, 75, passed away February 19, 2018 after a long battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1942 in Pittsburg, PA, was raised in Hoosick Falls New York, and moved to Bennington in 1975 following his marriage to loving wife Linda Rowley.

Family and friends will remember Gil and his love for gardening, fishing, camping, hunting and his dogs. He started his own business in the mid 60's and worked with local farmers in Washington and Rensselaer Counties. His young daughter Justine, kept him company as they traveled from farm to farm. He worked for Stanley tools for many years until his retirement in 2001.

Family who will remember him fondly include his wife, Linda , daughter Justine (sp. Alex Gonzalez) grandson, Jaron Gonzalez, sister Lynne (sp. Butch Von Haggin), Aunt Betty Lory (104 years), brother-in-law, Gary Littlefield, niece, Kimberly Von Haggin and nephew Kirk Von Haggin and their children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Faith Rowley.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
