Gerald S. Macjarrett

January 25, 1946 — April 20, 2022

Gerald S. MacJarrett, 76, a resident of Matteson Road in North Bennington, Vermont died on April 20, 2022.

Jerry was born in Bennington on January 25, 1946 to the late Alfred and Bertha (Adams) MacJarrett. He attended Benn High and following graduation he served in the Navy as a cook.

On April 27, 1974, Gerry married Gail (Mattison) MacJarrett. They would be married 48 years on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Jerry worked as a telephone installer for New England Telephone for 25 years. He then began his own business, The Telephone Connection, working for 12 years until retiring.

He was an avid fisherman and loved to spend time fishing with his boys. He enjoyed playing golf, going on cruises with his wife and friends and he especially loved to eat!

Survivors in addition to is wife Gail, include a son Mark (Danielle) of Greenwich, NY, Tiffany of Warrensburgh, NY, a daughter-in-law, Laurie of South Carolina. A sister, Lorraine Lorette (Ken "Digger"). Four grandchildren; Leigh Ann (Jake), Taylor, Zachary and Jeremiah. Three great-grandsons; Brady, Jace and Cameron, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is predeceased by a son, Steven, a sister Laura, and two brothers, Tommy and Homer.

There are no services planned for Jerry at this time.
